Abstract: In this paper we focus on adapting menu-oriented user interface using data mining. The adaptation model is created using the process of knowledge discovery. In the process of designing a method of adaptive presentation an application area should be considered. We experimented with the domain of medical examination cases. We combine the knowledge and experience of experts with machine learning in order to present information most relevant to the particular situation. We describe a software tool called EMMA dedicated to the collection and management of electromyography examination cases. The EMMA tool features an adaptive user interface, which helps a physician to make a decision about examinations performed.
