TS Analyzer


TS analyzeris a tool for real time analyzing transport streams in digital (satellite, terrestrial) television systems. This tool was developed in and tuned for Microsoft Windows (7) platform. It only supports BDA (Broadcast Driver Architecture) compatible DVB cards. It is free of charge for noncommercial (learning) purposes.


Basic features:

  • online (DVB-S) and offline (from file) access to transport streams
  • analysis of MPEG PSI and DVB SI tables
  • gathering the statistics about signal and transport streams (transmission rate, list of broadcasted services, statistics about transport stream, ...)
  • presentation of measured data in comfortable form (graphs, tables, tree structures, ...)
  • export of measured data for later analysis and usage
  • possibility to watch individual packets from transport streams and their content
  • recording the entire transport stream into file
  • detailed records about application operation (logs)
  • easy and customizable graphical interface
  • help for easier understanding a topic (text, pictures)

This tool was developed by Martin Hyben within his diploma thesis at Institute of computer systems and networks Faculty of informatics and information technologies Slovak university of technology.
